- Long beach
When most people arrive on Phu Quoc in Vietnam they usually end up staying at the islands most popular area, Long beach, which faces west and has the most spectacular ocean sunset.
- Dinh Cau beach
This local beach next to popular Long beach has a gorgeous sunset with a template backdrop. Be a local and sit on a plastic chair while sipping on sugar cane juice while watching the sun go down.
- Duong Dong Pier
If you want to watch the sun go down while listening to waves crashing then this is the place to go to. The Duong Dong Pier is located next to Dinh Cau Rock Temple.
- Duong Dong River
The Duong Dong river is a great place to not only watch the sun go down but to also abserve local fisherman bringing in their daily haul of fish.
- End of Long beach
In an alley way next to Tran An hotel and Blue Lagoon resort on Tran Hung Dao street lies this popular public sunset viewing spot. This spot literally marks the end of Long beach. Locals gather here during the evening hours to fish, swim, and watch the sun go down.
- Lighthouse hotel rooftop
Located on Tran Hung Dao street and near the Night market is the Lighthouse hotel and cafe. The Lighthouse hotel has a great rooftop with a spectacular birds eye view of the Gulf of Thailand. Buy a coffee or a beer at their cafe located on the ground floor and then take the elevator to the rooftop to enjoy the sunset.
- Cafe Pho Bien by Dinh Cau temple
This restaurant is famous mainly for it’s unobstructed view of Dinh Cau Rock temple. At sunset the locals gather here for drinks and food. Head up to the second floor for a great view of the surrounding area. Cafe Pho Bien is located at the end of Bach Dang street in Duong Dong town.
- Huong Bien hotel and resort
The Huong Bien hotel is located next to the entrance of the Dinh Cau Night market. This hotel has an amazing rooftop restaurant with an unobstructed view of the sea. They also serve great local specialites such as herring salad and tram mushroom soup. The prices for food and drink are fair and the view here is amazing.
- EMOI cafe
Emoi Cafe located on 40 Tran Hung Dao Street has a nice elevated patio that overlooks Dinh Cau Beach, Dinh Cau Rock temple, and the ocean. Come here for drinks and desert while being mesmerized by the sun.
- Phu Quoc International Airport
If you are arriving or departing late you can still catch Phu Quoc’s gorgeous at the Phu Quoc International Airport. Head up towards the Departures section and look east.
